This tungsten alloy PET pig for vial is designed to aid in preparation of radiopharmaceuticals that require boiling. It features a removable screw top with a magnetic cap to facilitate quick and easy access. Constructed with tungsten that will retain its shape under the roughest handling, the vial shield accommodates most 10 ml vials. Vents are located to minimize scatter leakage, boiling water can circulate freely around the vial, heating the solution rapidly and uniformly. The carrying handle makes it easy to lower and remove the vial from the boiling water bath.
The body of tungsten alloy PET pig is finished with anodized aluminum and includes a lead glass viewing window with a density of 5.2 to view the contents of the pig. To place the vial inside the pig, simply twist the tungsten top part to remove the top. You can take the magnetic lid off of the pig to withdraw the radioisotope from the vial while still receiving radiation protection from the rest of the pig.
